The Global Education Office’s 7th invited lecture took place on December 25, 2019, co-hosted by the graduate school of education. Thirty-two students and faculty members participated. Dr. Mastuki Kunihiro, an emeritus professor of Kyoto University and the director of the psychoanalysis office, gave a lecture on keiko (ascetic exercise) and mushin, which is operationalized as no memory, no desire, and no understanding by Bion in psychoanalytic practice. Dr. Tadashi Nishihira elaborated on the topic from the perspective of education and human sciences.
