The Global Education Office invited Professor Taciano Milfont, from the University of Waikato, to deliver a lecture on Understanding the impact of group-based dominance on human–nature relations and Social Dominance Orientation (SDO). In social psychology, SDO explains intergroup awareness of social dominance.
The lecture(July 5, 2024) consisted of a 60-minutes of presentation followed by a 60-minutes Q&A session, in which researchers and students from multiple fields had the chance to discuss with Professor Milfont. Around 30 researchers and graduate students interested in environmental issues and human perceptions, both from within and outside the university, were present in the lecture.
